Truxtun Radiology acquires Medical Imaging Center of Bakersfield

Truxtun Radiology acquires Medical Imaging Center of Bakersfield, creating the largest medical imaging organization in Bakersfield with five locations and 12 radiologists. Bakersfield residents should benefit from the acquisition because it puts more of the city’s medical services in the hands of local owners, said Dr. Girish Patel, founder and Medical Director of Truxtun Radiology. Previous owner Insight is headquartered in Orange County. The acquisition also means an upgrade to the Empire Drive facility’s infrastructure. Truxtun Radiology has already begun scanning the unit’s printed medical records. All of Truxtun Radiology’s medical records have been stored digitally for years.
